Linton is situated in south central North Dakota where there is an abundance of wildlife. White tail and mule deer are in the area for the big game hunter.
Ring-necked pheasants, grouse, partridge, doves, and wild turkeys are here for the bird hunters. Canadian geese and many varieties of ducks can be found in the area as well. |

For the fisherman, Lake Oahe and Beaver Bay are just 15 miles west of Linton. They are a part of the Missouri River System. There are numerous boat ramps available. Many excellent areas also exist to fish from shore. |

Fishing is a year round hobby with ice fishing also being a popular pastime. Types of fish that are common are walleye, sauger, northern pike, bass, catfish, and crappie. |

The Linton Shooting Range is located 1 mile west of Linton. It is a certified range and is also open to trap shooting. |
