| The Linton Industrial Development
Corporation is an active and aggressive organization. If you are

The Linton Industrial Development
Corporation (LIDC) was incorporated February 6th 1984, as a non-profit
corporation.
The Board of Directors consists
of seven members of which two of the seven are appointed by the Linton
City Council, the remaining five directors are elected by the corporation's
members to three year terms on a rotating basis.
The Primary purposes for
which the corporation was organized are:
To promote and assist existing
businesses to prosper and expand.
To promote and assist new businesses
to locate in Linton.
To assist clients in developing
business ideas and business plans.
To assist clients in obtaining
financing from local, state and federal agencies.
To give positive direction to
the development of commerce in the City of Linton, the County of Emmons
and the state of North Dakota.
To carry out activities which
will enhance the image and reputation of Linton as a place to live and
invest.
The City Council, Chamber
of Commerce, Local Financial Institutions and the LIDC work closely with
each other to ensure that you receive the attention and help that you require.
There are a number of local,
county and state incentive programs available to new start up companies
or to companies looking to relocate or expand. Some of the programs
that are available are:
Property and Income Tax Exemptions.
Sales Tax Exemptions on Machinery
or Equipment
Income Tax Incentives
Jobs Training Assistance
LIDC Revolving Loan Fund
Interest Rate Buy Downs
The LIDC also works closely
with the Lewis and Clark Regional Development Council which has a number
of Grant and Loan programs available to assist you.
Linton has a number of commercial
and residential lots available for development. We also have existing
homes and commercial buildings for sale or rent.
North Dakota's high school
graduation rate ranks 4th in the United States which produces a superior
work force that is recognized worldwide. North Dakota also has the
lowest worker's compensation rates in the United States.
